AGING AND BEAUTY: TRAVELLING EXHIBITION

Aging and beauty

Exhibition of Arianne Clément’s photos of older adults

Growing old is associated with words such as “loss,” “burden,” “illness” and “frail health,” robbing it of its charm and stripping it of beauty. This also fuels ageism—the age-based discrimination that older adults are subjected to every day. The photo exhibition Vieillir et beautés is an opportunity to reconnect with other representations of aging, thanks to the photos of Arianne Clément, a photographer of older adults. The many themes and beauties of ageism featured in the exhibit include intimacy, sexuality, pleasure, intergeneration and diversity.

The exhibition tour, which took him to Sherbrooke, Montreal, Quebec City and Granby, is now over. You can still discover the photos and their stories in the “Discover the exhibition” section.
